3:30pm, Tacoma time.
Back at the hotel for some rest before meeting Snazzy and Smalltown for dinner.
We had a nice day. The sun is out in Tacoma, even if it is still a little chilly. But it's only March, what do we expect?
The Boy™ and I took advantage of the free light rail today and explored a little of downtown Tacoma. We walked across the Glass Bridge (very cool) and looked at some of the (free) outside exhibits of the Glass Museum (pictures of these to come.) The museum itself is closed on Tuesdays, however, so we didn't go in. We did go into the gift shop, but didn't buy anything. The Boy™ fell in love with these interesting glass fortune cookies, but they were very expensive. If we don't buy anything else on this trip and have souvenir money leftover, we might go back before we leave and get one.
The Art Museum was open, however, so we went there instead. Right now, they have the David Macaulay exhibit up. He is famous for the book The Way Things Work. It was a great exhibit.
After that, we just wandered around downtown a bit. We walked through the theatre district, window shopped a little, then came back to the hotel. I'm catching up on some internet things now while The Boy™ takes a nap. I might lay down and close my eyes for a little while myself.
